Kentico Server Sync runs on the background, as a Windows Service. That means it starts when the server is started and it doesn't require any manual interactions. Kentico Server Sync service watches the source folder(s) for file changes and if there's any change it reproduces it immediately in the target folder(s). There's no or minimum delay. Kentico Server Sync is NOT a scheduled batch process, which means you do not have to wait for some interval when the files are synchronized.
Kentico Server Sync is delivered with a user-friendly interface that allows you to configure the service. You can set up any number of source folders and any number of target folders for each source folder. You can define which file types should or shouldn't be synchronized. For initial synchronization or if the files are out of sync, you can start a manual synchronization that goes through all folders and synchronizes the files. You can also see a log of all synchronization actions.
Features:
- Keep files in sync between several folders or server
- Synchronize files between production server and backup server immediately, so that the backup server is an exact copy of the production server
- Synchronize files uploaded to the master server of the Web farm so that they are available through all servers
