With a couple clicks of the mouse, you'll be able to quickly insert the symbols you need to generate piping & instrumentation diagrams with ease. By utilizing a pull down menu and dialog boxes, this block library organizes all of the symbols for easy and instant access.

It's easy to use:
This library can be easily loaded into AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT's menu bar for quick access. Full instructions are included. There's no need to browse through folders every time you need to insert a symbol. Its user-friendly interface allows you to simply point and click to choose from a wide range of P&ID symbols.

How it works:
Once loaded in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT's menu bar, "PID Library" will appear in the menu bar.

Step 1: Choose a category of symbols from the pull-down menu.

Step 2: A dialog box appears showing all of the available symbols with a description in the left window. The red dot indicates the insertion point for each symbol. Choose the symbol you would like to insert and click on "OK".

Step 3: Insert the symbol in your layout and rotate to the desired position.

Details about the symbols:

Each symbol is drawn to 1:1 scale on layer zero with "bylayer" attributes.
Once inserted, simply rotate the symbol into position and it will take on the characteristics of your current layer settings.
Valve and instrument symbols contain built-in attributes. You'll be prompted in the command line to input the information, or just leave it blank.

Here's what you get:
The "P&ID Symbols Library version 1.1" comes with a total of 220 symbols following the ANSI/ISA??.1??984 (R1992) standard. The symbols are grouped in the following categories:

Process and Signal Line Types
No need to create your own line types. Simply select the line type you need from the menu, then pick your start and end points. You control the look of the lines by setting AutoCAD's LTS (line type scale) variable to the desired setting.
