The Standard and Lite versions have all the features and interfaces as our Pro version. All versions include WinForm, WebForm, ActiveX, VCL, and DLL interfaces. All versions include 1000 plus properties, methods, and events. The only difference between the Standard and Lite is the quantity of data points and annotations that can be rendered.

The Standard version is limited to 8000 data points and 800 annotations.

The Lite version is limited to 1000 data points and 100 annotations. This limit is per instance of a control. You can have multiple controls running and each with the above limitation.

The Pro version is unlimited and includes unlimited technical support. We will attempt to offer unlimited support on Lite and Standard versions unless support demands significantly increase for these versions. At which point we may charge a support fee for the Lite and Standard versions

(2003.10.31 게시) www.gigasoft.com Licensing… In short, ProEssentials v4 is royalty free to distribute as a Client-Side EXE, and requires additional run-time licenses for internet/intranet servers as well as for allowing 3rd party end-user customers the rights to further distribute a Client-Side EXE. Limited Distribution License (LDL): Gigasoft is introducing a new license called a Limited Distribution License (LDL) license. This license allows re-distribution of ProEssential's re-distributable files and 1 CPU server-component use. This license does not allow development. This license will be available with volume discounts. As of this writing, the best pricing will be $4999.00 for 250 licenses. This equates to $20 per license to allow for redistribution rights and 1 CPU server side use. We are also allowing customers distributing ProEssentials to buy LDLs on behalf of their third party users in cases where the third party needs to place ProEssentials on a server or redistribute ProEssential's re-distributable files. We are relying on the honor system and only ask that you keep records of which product serial numbers are assigned to which customers. Buying LDL licenses on behalf of the third party is optional. It has the benefit of offering ProEssentials at unbelievable low costs; however, there is record keeping to consider. If you don’t want to bother with record keeping, you can require your customer (third party) to purchase their own LDLs. We’ll let you decide. This new license is designed to make ProEssentials more attractive to potential customers; especially for internet/intranet server application developers and customers who need to allow further re-distribution of ProEssential's re-distributable files. To Summarize: If the company Widget, Inc. buys one copy of ProEssentials v4, they are entitled to: a) Install ProEssentials on one development system, accessed by one developer, who has an individual right to request technical support. If Widget, Inc. has more than one developer needing header files, import libraries, documentation, technical support, and other non re-distributable materials, Widget, Inc will need to buy additional development licenses. B) Place server components ( PEGRP32B.DLL, and PEGO32B.OCX, PESGO32B.OCX, PEPSO32B.OCX, PEPCO32B.OCX and PE3DO32B.OCX) onto Widget Inc.’s server containing one CPU. If Widget, Inc. is a large company and needs to run a server with multiple CPUs, or run multiple 1 CPU servers, Widget, Inc. needs to purchase additional Limited Distribution Licenses (LDLs). If Widget, Inc. is producing a server application product designed to be deployed to a third party’s server(s), Widget, Inc. can decide on purchasing LDLs on behalf of the third party, or, require the third party to purchase their own LDLs from Gigasoft. C) Distribute royalty free client side EXEs utilizing ProEssentials to a third Party via Internet, Floppy, CD, or other means. The third party cannot further distribute this EXE to a fourth party unless an LDL is purchased by either Widget, Inc. on behalf of the third party, or by the third party themselves.
