Seavus is proud to announce the release of Seavus Project Viewer 2007, with the following NEW and IMPROVED features:
Displays ALL Views available in Microsoft Project
Seavus Project Viewer 2007 is now capable of displaying 100% of all views as found in Microsoft Project 2003. Additionally, it is our mission and goal to provide our customers with the ability to see 100% of all views as found in Microsoft Project 2007.
Currently our engineers have achieved a viewing capability of 90% of Microsoft® Project 2007 and they are working diligently to complete the remaining 10% of views. It is our commitment to complete this remaining 10% as rapidly as possible.
We truly mean it when we say ...
"if you can see it in Microsoft® Project, you can see it in Seavus Project Viewer"
Improved ODBC Access - 50 to 70% Faster
Our engineers continue to improve our technology to insure that our customers will experience fast and easy access to project plans stored in a SQL database via ODBC.
We have increased the performance of Seavus Project Viewer 2007 to access the database/open files by approximately 50 to 70% and we continue to explore ways to increase this performance even further.
Opens Larger Files Faster - 15 MB project plan in under 4 seconds
Seavus Project Viewer 2007 opens larger files faster than any other viewer in the market.
For example, a wide variety of 15MB project plans, all with a typical set of tasks and a typical set of resources, open up in under 4 seconds using Seavus Project Viewer 2007.
Other viewers take, on average, 3 to 10 times as long. In some cases, some viewers cannot open such a file in under several minutes.
We understand the importance of opening project plans quickly and efficiently and continue to work diligently to optimize Seavus Project Viewer 2007'ss file-opening time.
'Save My Settings' - choose the way you see project plan information:
Seavus is pleased to announce the introduction of a unique feature among viewers in the market today - the ability for users to save-their-viewing settings/preferences.
Seavus Project Viewer 2007 provides the user with the ability to format and display project plan information in a way that is most appropriate for his\her work.
Save My Settings' User Profile functionality remembers the 'view' preferences you wish to see when displaying project plan information so you will no longer need to adjust your views each and every time you open an .mpp file.
Users can adjust the timescale, set up a particular view or set of views in the Resource Usage and Task Usage view and/or can insert/hide columns in the views from the Gantt Chart family so that the end result is a custom view of all project plan information in a format that works best for the user.
Depending upon how the user wishes to work with this functionality, these local settings can be loaded every time a user opens an .mpp file or just for a particular project plan.
These settings will be saved in an .mdb file and stored on the user's PC. The actual .mpp file settings will not be adjusted, just the 'view settings' on the user's desktop will be remembered/displayed. Users access their 'views' by selecting them from the 'File' Menu at the top of Seavus Project Viewer 2007.
Users do not need Microsoftⓒ Access to use this functionality in Seavus Project Viewer 2007.

7 Pearls of Seavus Project Viewer
Experience the additional value of buying Seavus Project Viewer. Below is a list of features you may find only in Seavus Project Viewer, the #1 Microsoft Project Viewer on the market
MICROSOFT OUTLOOK INTEGRATION
While the Microsoft® Excel integration enables Seavus Project Viewer users to view, print and analyze project plans created in Microsoft® Excel, the integration between Microsoft® Outlook and Seavus Project Viewer is unique and enables users (team members, executives, external project stakeholders) to have better control on project tasks and a better view of project progress. This feature allows users of Seavus Project Viewer to export and import tasks from project plans and combine them with the daily activities that are already scheduled in Microsoft® Outlook and Seavus Project Viewer.

OPEN LARGE .MPP FILES
Seavus Project Viewer can open large project plans (plans that last for several years, with great numbers of tasks and resources) in a very short period of time. While most viewers cannot open file sizes greater than 11 MB within 30 seconds, Seavus Project Viewer can easily open files of 50 MB within the same time; making it more effective in working with files with a significant amount of information regarding resources and tasks. By easily opening these larger files Seavus Project Viewer provides project managers and team members with the opportunity to view project plans from the start date to the end date. This feature makes Seavus Project Viewer very useful for large companies running long substantial projects. (Opening Time Diagram.pdf)
SUPPORT GLOBAL TEMPLATE
Seavus Project Viewer supports global templates created by the project managers in Microsoft® Project. Using the global template helps users and companies to standardize the use and appearance of project files when viewed in Seavus Project Viewer within a team or across an organization. Information in a template can include views, calendars, tables, filters, and groups. This enables custom project views to be created by Project Managers for team members and managers in Microsoft Project and for these users to receive purely this defined view in exactly the same way in Seavus Project Viewer.

OPEN MASTER PROJECTS
Seavus Project Viewer can open master projects with all subprojects inserted in it. Tasks from different subprojects are linked together, forming a predecessor/successor dependency. When one of the subprojects is open in Seavus Project Viewer, all of the predecessor tasks from other subprojects will be shown next to the local tasks in the project being opened. By having the external tasks shown in the views, Seavus Project Viewer is able to draw the links between them and the local task, providing a more realistic view over the whole set of tasks and their dependencies.
PROGRESS LINES
For a given progress date (or the status date) of a project, Seavus Project Viewer draws a progress line connecting in-progress tasks and tasks that should have started, creating a graph on the Gantt Chart with peaks pointing to the left for work that is behind schedule and peaks pointing to the right for work that is ahead of schedule. Users can display multiple progress lines for different dates in a project and change the way the lines look. They can also display progress lines relative to the actual plan or to a saved baseline plan.

COMBINED VIEWS
Combination views are special views that contain two views and they are supported by Seavus Project Viewer. Combination views can be useful when the users are interested in viewing more detailed information about a selection of tasks or resources in one of the available views. By activating a different view in the bottom pane of the combination view window, users can select one or more tasks in the top view and view the associated tasks, resources, or assignments in the bottom view.

SUPPORT DRAWING OBJECTS
Seavus Project Viewer is able to show all drawing objects made in Microsoft Project. The project manager can highlight milestones, change the colours of task bars to match corporate standards, change field titles to match organization's terminology or insert objects in the Gantt Chart and Seavus Project Viewer will read this information when opening the project plan, showing the same formatting and visual styles as in Microsoft Project. With this feature, the project participants can communicate among each other in order to achieve the project's goals.
